even so, it looks like there was a new version of the license support manager released on July 1.įor those who have sat through this whole thing without installing the software, I think you still need to follow the procedure below before you do install the software, whenever you need to access your iLoks. Of course I then downloaded the latest Ilok manager.Īfter then I was able to activate and use Eighty Eight Ensemble 2.5 normally.Īpparently, this is an issue with many SONiVOX products that require iLok. The way I fixed it was to boot into O&O BlueCon 18 Admin Edition on a Bootable CD and change the driver “TKPD.sys” from “boot” to “disabled”Īfter doing this and restarting Windows 10 - Windows 10 booted normally and I got my system back. Tried Windows diagnostic and repair - nada Tried Windows 10 Safe mode - nada Being extremely buggy, when I rebooted Windows 10, I got the dreaded blue screen of death. However, what the SONiVOX installer ended up doing, is installing a driver called TKPD.sys as a boot driver. The iLok installer is supposed to detect a later version and not install the earlier version. What happened is that the SONiVOX installer installs an older, and extremely buggy version of the ilok driver. I had this exact same issue after Eighty Eight Ensemble 2.5 from SONiVOX.
